A Special Month of Prayer and Reflection
October is a special month in the Catholic Church as we celebrate the Month of the Rosary, and at St Bede’s Catholic Primary School, our pupils have embarked on a meaningful Rosary Challenge to deepen their faith and grow closer to Jesus through the example of Mary.
Throughout the month, each class will spend time learning about and praying the Rosary, reflecting on the significant moments, or mysteries, in the lives of Jesus and Mary. This special prayer tradition helps children develop their understanding of the Gospel while encouraging moments of reflection, prayer and spiritual growth.
Today marked the beginning of our Rosary Challenge, with pupils focusing on The Annunciation. Children learned about the moment when the Angel Gabriel appeared to Mary, inviting her to become the mother of Jesus. Through Mary's faith, trust and willingness to say "yes" to God's plan, pupils reflected on the importance of courage, obedience and faith in their own lives.
Learning About the Rosary
The Rosary provides a wonderful opportunity for our school community to come together in prayer, strengthening our relationship with God and helping us to reflect on the example set by Jesus and Mary.
As the month progresses, pupils will continue to explore the different mysteries of the Rosary, taking time to pray, learn and grow in faith together. We look forward to sharing highlights from our Rosary journey throughout October and celebrating the many spiritual opportunities this special month provides.
Please keep our school community in your prayers as we continue our Rosary Challenge and walk together in faith this October.
